Firstly let me say that I only spent about an hour and a half on it last night. Not a lot, but I did get a pretty good impression at least of the campaign.
1-Lack of Master Chief is much more wtf than I thought it would be. I can't say I'm a fan of being a random joe.
2-Is it just me or does the plot blow goats? We skipped through the story stuff half the time. Voice acting was stupid, dialogue was stupid, stupid plot was stupid. So far, anyway. Might have just been the mood I was in.
3-Maps--there is one that is quite yellow and it's hard to see anything. I was playing co-op split screen with someone, so maybe the full screen will be different. It was highly frustrating though and quite a few times I couldn't figure out where the hell to go.
Overall-Not too impressed. Seems a little half-arsed. Like it should have been an add-on for 3 or something, not it's own game. We shall see. Perhaps my initial impressions will change as I play more of it.

Enjoying my new job, meeting some cool people.
Sorry I haven't been on a lot. I got removed as a user from my roommate's computers and he is now going to be moving out. My laptop is broken and my computer access is rather limited atm.
The good news is that I appear to have found a new roommate and he is very nice and clean. :)
Oh yeah, and the FF concert is going to trump all.

Went to Fiesta for half priced margerita night last night with some co-workers. It was lots of fun.
Came home and had some pretty drunken dreams. I hate how garbled and random my dreams are when drunk.
Random bits that I can remember but not string together coherently:
-hanging from the bottom of a helicopter
-joining the army
-a rabbit with a bad skin condition
-alien invasion
-grandma Ann was still alive
-I made saffron rice
-hot ninja chick had an arm around my waist while walking in a parking lot
-bought a new laptop
Oh yeah, my laptop is dead again ><

Melia, my LTF Flora is going to a new home. Just her faceplate for now. I am keeping the body for a little bit so that if I decide I miss her too much, I just need to replace the faceplate. I'm terrible at selling dolls. I need to just not buy them to begin with!

Today was okay. When I have a lot of crappy things happen at once, I tend to spoil myself.
So for lunch today I ate some fried rice cake and kim-chi. Had some Soju on the rocks to go with it.
The tank is coming along nicely. I gave up trying to plant it completely with native plants so many of the plants I have are from the pet store. I figure as long as there are a few native plants and all native animals, I'm still keeping mostly to plan. It look sreally nice overall. The kitties like it.

I still feel like I'm in between a rock and a hard place. Something's gotta give. I am worried that I willl have nowhere to go if anything bad does happen and we lose the apartment. It is no one's fault. I just wish that some people were more responsible. It's bumming me out a little more than I want to admit. I am strong and will get through this. *nods*
I realized I haven't updated my fishtank status much at all. I have a school of bluntnose shiners in there and a few fatheads. Also a small crayfish and a ton of snails. I really need to find some darters to eat some of those darn snails! What I really need is to find more creeks to kick around in.

So after I posted my last entry yesterday, I immediately got an IM from someone named HokeyCoho that said "Happy Canada day." I replied "Eh?" Cause I don't know who this person is and I'm a smart ass. Then they ask me who I am and why I IM'd them. I thought it was rather strange and I googled the name and turned up this:

Project Upstream generates bots and randomly hooks up to people on AIM after sending messages to both parties.
So I end up chatting with this person for a good 20 minutes or so. I'm glad I wasn't a total ass even when I thought he was a bot himself, lol. Turned out he was from Brazil. It was really interesting. So if I start to post here more, it's because I'm hoping for more random fish bots, haha.
My fishtank is looking good. Just put a few more plants in it. The minnows are happy--except the one that died today. :(
I wish I had better lighting--I need to fix the ballast on my 48" fixture. For now they get low watt compacts. They should be okay for a little while like that at least.
There is a RML R20J for sale on DOA right now. I'm going for it. She takes offers until tomorrow night.
Speaking of RML dolls, I repainted Senna. She looks great and I just effing love her.
She was the shining moment of happy in my otherwise kinda crappy day.

Speaking of which I am also going to enter the sock contest. I foresee much laughing at most entries to that one. I'm not saying I'm much better, but I think it's funny how many people seem to miss the point and are saying "oh, I have a doll coming in a week, I'll whip something up for him out of a sock for this! Haha!" *eyeroll*

Had another zombie dream last night. One of them had a giant mustache and when I bashed his head in with my boot, it was the only thing that remained recognizable as a human like feature.
There were lots of them and I didn't have good weapons. Just sturdy boots. These zombies were really slow and easy to knock down and curb stomp.

I just finished sanding the seams off a Mecha Angel. I pretty much can't feel my arms and I've already hit the sauce pretty hard to numb the pain. (pain killers don't work on me >_<)
Ah but I know that in the end it's kind of like a work out! My arms get stronger every time I sand a doll, lol.
In other news, I just bought a Hujoo. Yep, really.
To everyone who is questioning my judgement right now yes, I used to think they were ugly too. It's the 'ugly' and interesting dolls that really grow on me though. And the sleepy one in this pic really did me in:

Leaving this one out of the cut cause I like it muchly. :)
Critique always welcome. I'd like to think I'm getting better, but there is always room for improvement so let me know if you think something needs improving! I think mainly I need to work on my blushing. Eyebrows are getting more consistent, and I feel like I'm developing a style of sorts. Overall, I enjoy this and it's a ridiculously good feeling when someone is happy with your work!

I have the strangest dreams.
Last night I had a pet box turtle who had free reign of my house. The weird thing? It wore a Darth Vader mask. And I thought it was perfectly normal. :?
Also the world was ending. That seems to be a central theme in a lot of my dreams. There were huge waves all over the planet a la The Abyss. There were also these things that resembled Bahamut-Sin all over that seemed to be involved somehow. I was carrying a cat the whole time. It was grey.
Other themes that crop up a lot:
Zombies
Leonard Nimoy as Spock
Morrissey
Work
In spite of a lot of my dreams having to do with an apocalypse, they are really quite fun and I am always sad to wake up. I wish I could go back to that strange world. It's so much more entertaining than real life. Plus in my subconsious mind, Nimoy is still young, hot, and my boyfriend, lol. Yeah, I have issues.

Saw it for the second time today.
It was truly the perfect blend between the OS and modern technology. The casting, acting, dialogue, and overall tone was mostly spot on. It made me quite nostalgic for the OS and at the same time was relevant and modern. I honestly did not expect them to pull it off half as well as they did.
I would be more than thrilled if they turned it into a tv series considering that the director and most of the actors have lots of tv experience.
J.J. Abrams has won me over in a big way.

Things are so strange and move so fast. The elves don't like him, the humans are scared of him.
The one thing that keeps him here is not even aware of his existance.
Today the strangest thing happened. An old friend apparently followed him out of the woods.
